Implementation Question: Mail Syncing #3404

Hello,

I've been attempting to find and contribute to your email syncing algorithms, trying to optimise them in some way but I honestly cannot find them in the repository. Could any of you give me a heads up where it's located? Where do you make a request to the IMAP server for your emails?

Yesterday they merged a lot of code - maybe have another look at this.
