since mail merge is now gone in pro (for the time being), it would be nice to co-opt the 'quick reply' templates function to generate a new "templates" utility for outgoing messages (versus just 'replies')
perhaps it could function as an attribute in 'drafts' that prevents draft from deleting when edited or sent? just an idea...
