On Nylas v2 I've noticed that messages that have been read by a recipient don't show an eye icon with activity tracking even though activity for those messages does appear in the "View activity" popup.
This may or may not be limited to messages with someone in the CC field - it certainly is failing on messages like that, but may be failing on others as well.
Update
It seems to be all messages that have been opened that are missing the UI to view their activity, unopened messages show the tracking icon correctly, but it disappears once they have been opened.
