This is a feature request. I would really love to see mbox / file:// / cold storage support on N1 mail client, but apparently it won't be something possible unless a development is made.
I've been trying N1 for a while now, and the only no-go that I can see is the fact that there is no way for me to setup local folders like I was able to do with Apple Mail / Thunderbird.
On my email clients, I always keep at least 5 years history accessible from the mail client but locally stored only. I also like the ability of an email client to be able to export folders as MBoxes for archiving in hard copy / cold storage.
This is something that would definitely allow N1 adoption for many professions:
Lawyers (Some emails just cannot stay on a server given their nature),
Some emails contain big files, and sometimes have to be moved to storage instead of staying on IMAP and wasting space,
etc.
Anyways, I'm very impressed by the current state of N1, so keep up the good work!
Great app!
I second the need for folder/mbox support.
Another area that would see this as essential would be the medical profession. Anybody that must keep long term records of their conversations.
