in July, I for some reason thought this was not really that great of an idea, but now reading it again and thinking about the whole concept ...this is great! And should also be simple enough to do. (except the front-end maybe ? :)...) 👍 👍 👍
Well, for regular raspis you've images you can download and write, just get some simple http server so that you can use to setup your data on it and close the webserver and you're done, thing is later the sustaining part.... having it properly mantained, upgrades, etc...
Prepare a 'SD-card' image that can be written on a card and provide an 'out-of-the-box' experience that provides:
This would provide end-users the ability to buy a card and write it, put in a Raspberry PI and hook it to the network and get private browsing without ads, etc
This of course should be automated enough to get the newest upgrades automatically and probably some minimal web UI for management like selecting the 'release' channel and 'frequency' for updates or so
