Spin-off from https://github.com/nymanjens/Alliances/issues/162:

Consensus:

Have a deck of cards. Draw one card for every turn (all known at start of game).

The cards could be:

(that checkmark is weird, I'm guessing you got emails of me checking/unchecking it?) I do like the concept of adjusting available tokens during the game. And if it's irrelevant, then I think the tokens aren't a scarce enough resource. As far as unbalance goes, if players have less tokens, you'd gain more balance I'd think.

As far as the 'gain x token' events, I would be careful with those, especially if they were permanent. Making the tokens not scarce enough leads to major snowballing I think.

Was just thinking that from the experimental-branch we were going to do, that we might take some alternative rules that we tested there and apply them as an event card.

In general I would avoid any events which clearly only benefit a winning team. Meaning, if the way to attain the most benefit from the event is playing as you would standardly need to play to win, I don't see a point in the event. Unless it would be possible for the losing team to temporarily turn the tables to gain more benefit than the winning team. Only found one in Jonas' list, which falls under this big no-no category I think:

Really liking all the suggested events so far, especially the ones 'breaking the rules'.

Suggestions:

How about we proceed as folllows?: Someone makes a PR for experimental with an initial list. (names and references are allowed, but not required)

We can then add and remove stuff and only keep whatever there is a consensus about?

@317070 and @Tantali This'll be a significant amount of work to get this in the game. Does anyone think it's worth prioritizing this?

I changed this to "low priority" because I don't think it's a core issue right now.
