Self-host to find Sanborn maps by location? #99

I saw that the NYPL Map Warper project has been archived as of April 2021. This is too bad since it was so easy to look up old historical maps! Now the process is quite laborious. How much of this app would still work if I got this repo up and running? I see there is an archived website but the "search by location" feature is broken. Would this app still allow for searching by location or does that rely on some other, likely archived, database?

In particular, I thought I had used it in the past to lookup the Sanborn Insurance maps. I see that @timwaters has set up https://mapwarper.net, which is really neat, but I'm not seeing those maps on that app. Thanks for the help and for all the years that went into maintaining this!

Oh it looks like this may still be possible with the Maps by Decades app!
