Have used the networkD3
package to produce Sankey/alluvial diagrams (to track patients moving through our amyloid PET project). Has the advantage of producing interactive HTML output, which allows inspection of the data values and changing the spatial layout. https://www.r-graph-gallery.com/323-sankey-diagram-with-the-networkd3-library.html
