Building from the source tree without gnome-common leads to autogen.sh saying You need to install gnome-common from the GNOME SVN.

But gnome-common has been deprecated for 3 years: https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeCommon/Migration We are currently removing it from the Homebrew package manager: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-core/pull/16173
