Joint TSC Meeting - July 25th, 2023 #215

What we did last month

  1. Held the SIG Release election. No one apply yet, so we extend the nomination deadline.
  2. Nick had a discussion with the TSC. The conclusion is the features grid will be part of the O3DE release deliverable but won't be a release blocker. Next step: Docs community to work with Royal on updating the release notes markdown tool to speed up the features grid release. You can see the discussion here.
  3. Flag Naomi to discuss with Royal the proposed dates to secure QA and RM based on ROSCon.
  4. Working with Joe's team on releasing the hotfix for the Snap package and Linux Startup issue. You can see it here.
  5. Completed some of the action items. You can see the latest status here.

  1. Follow up retros action.
  2. Complete the SIG chair and co-chair election process 2023 - 2024.
  3. Start a discussion about the next release date, release manager, and how to keep the release quality bar without dedicated QA.
  4. Document the hotfix release process.
