Overview

Hi Sig-UX-UI O3DE community, It's time for our Sig UX meeting. It will take place via Discord in our SIG voice channel.

Here's our current agenda items for this meeting:

Here's a concrete example from other communities. Since the UI is at first usually just a front end by the programmers for the code that is written it suffers from the usual suspects. IMO one of the biggest and ugliest suspects from a UX standpoint frequently ends up being that the particle system redraws with every single UI setting change, even minor ones and viewport interactions.

This is infuriating to a user/designer and ends up in outright frustration between them and the programmers because aspects of the UX like that are addressed way too late in the programming/algorithm choices so they keep getting sidelined by labeling them a feature request. So just a heads up to help make the particle system one of the aspects that attracts peeps instead of repels them away from the platform. https://github.com/o3de/o3de/issues/2889"_

If you’d like to propose additional topics, please leave comments in the GitHub thread for this meeting’s agenda. We’ll make adjustments to the agenda items. With the increase number of individuals joining the O3DE community we will leave time in the beginning to allow for any new individuals to introduce themselves. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
