3 months ago Would like to discuss the below release schedule:
Note: sig-release is the only authority that can grant an exception. Sig-release will consult with stakeholders and in some cases the TSC in order to make an informed decision. Goal is to reduce risk to the release by limiting new code that could destabilize O3DE.
- Feature lock: Monday Aug 5th, 2024 (After Siggraph). No new features allowed into stabilization unless granted an exception. Bug Fixes are allowed.
- Final Splash Screen Artwork in stabilization: Monday Sept 2nd, 2024.
- Full Code lock: Tuesday Sept 24th, 2024. No PR's allowed into stabilization unless granted an exception. (Joe B. out Sept 14th - Sep 23)
- Prerelease dry run: Monday Oct 7th, 2024
- Release: Wednesday Oct 9th, 2024
Goal is to release before ROSCon 2024 (Oct 21st - 23rd, 2024)
We should also schedule a couple of days of community focused stabilization testing. 1 day each picking a couple of days throughout stabilization.
