Is the cube rotating or is the camera moving around it #10

Partially legitimate question

northkill commented 4 years ago

yes

Sam-R commented 4 years ago

In fact, neither.

Your perception of reality is being distorted by the power of vim, making it appear as if there's movement when actually both the camera and cube are static, and your understanding of the universe is changing.

I'd guess the partially legitimate answer is I think the cube rotates.

yes

My interpretation is that the cube is rotating and the camera is moving around it both at half the perceived speed.

The real answer is, there is neither a cube, nor a camera. It is all just an illusion created by math and computer science.

The cube and the camera are very real, but the apparent rotation is a result of complex gravitational lensing effects caused by a number of nearby supermassive objects.
