No windows to put ISBN, etc.

Thank you, but that what I've been doing all along. When I do this I get a
message like this: "Can't be done, choose a text." When I get that message
I may be editing an existing text so a text there is.
I must admit that I find Sigil very difficult and most likely I shall have
to give it up.

Have you tries reinstalling Sigil?
This is working for me,  I can put in multiple ISBN's with no trouble.
Unless it is only happening with one epub.  Then there may be something wrong 
with that one.

Thank you, Shaun. Yes, I reinstalled it, but to no avail. It's unfortunate 
because if this continues I can't use it. I prefer to put in the ISBN number 
right at the beginning, but accept that I must wait until the end. However, no 
matter what there is no window.

What version of Sigil are you running.

Me, Personally, am running version 7.3 on Windows XP.

Unless the Metadata Editor window is off screen somehow, it's the only thing I 
can think of.  An old version.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium (Mozilla Firefox). As to Sigil I suppose
it's the newest one, but I'm not sure. How do I see that?

Did you find any solutions to my problem? As I informed you I use the

I do not know what to suggest.

The 'i' or "Metadata Editor" button should pop up with a new Window.  You click 
on "Add Basic" and select 'Identifier: ISBN'.  That should put a line into the 
editor window.  Then just double-click on the value area and insert the ISBN.

If the Metadata Editor is not coming up, then I am stuck.
