It's been a challenge to find a consistent and commonly understood term for non-human identities (synthetic identities have their own meaning, machine identities implies a machine, device identities imply devices and workloads imply software). I like the Gartner taxonomy that classifies workload and device identities as subset of the machine identity realm. PErhaps we can use that term consistently and help frame the conversation in language the industry is adopting elsewhere?
