Orbis was a very entertaining site to poke around. The pop up window brought my attention to the purpose of the site immediately which I thought was very effective. The color scheme and overall design of the whole site is extremely streamlined making the site easy and to navigate. The actual research tool was very well designed. The use of symbols used to represent the seasons was especially captivating for me and influenced me to think about how my group might take advantage of simple imagery to convey meaning efficiently. The separation of search categories/filters was very clear which made it very easy to select different route options. The design of the site was very effective at promoting the research of communication in the Roman Empire.
