I find it very exciting, how developers take this Theme and build on it, tweak it and make it their own.
Unfortunately I feel like providing shortcodes would take this Theme in the wrong direction. Adding shortcodes ultimately would lock in users, making changing Themes extremely hard for them. Justin Tadlock and Konstantin Kovshenin wrote great blog posts on this issue.
About the Nav List Widget: Is there a demo site where I can see it in action? I wonder how differs from the default widget?
