intracellular material detection by flow cytometry assay #511

We need this as a parent for intracellular cytokine staining for non-cytokines (e.g. perforin). Was previously requested in editor note.

Definition: An assay in which the presence of a material inside a cell is measured by permeabilizing the cell membrane to allow entry of specific antibodies, and counting the stained cells using a flow cytometer.

This sounds like a cross product between an objective (detection of material located_in intracellular) and a method of assay (flow cytometry) Is that how this would be created? Should we create a flow cytometry assay has_objective intracellular material identification or has_objective cell population detection/quantification?

We don't even have flow cytometry assay at this point. The differentia to standard flow is in how the cells are labeled (after permeabilizing their membranes in this case), so there is a methodology difference to standard flow as well. Maybe 'surface staining' vs. 'intracellular staining' flow cytometry? I think in both cases, the objective as you said is 'cell population detection/quantification.

We added this to the file, and also added a flow cytometry assay parent. There definitely need to be other children. Check it out there.
