Hi! Is there any progress on this request? Thanks Jan

Does GO:negative regulation of metabolic process fit your needs?
http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/GO_0009892 Any process that stops, prevents, or reduces the frequency, rate or extent of the chemical reactions and pathways within a cell or an organism.

Hi Jan, Jie
It don't the GO term applies here for Jan's use case. What Jan refers to is called 'metabolism quenching' and is a planned process where the input is a fresh specimen (where cells are metabolically active) and the output is a material sample where all metabolism has been stopped (not negatively regulated, which would mean some metabolic activity remains).
Jan, We can work together on this.
Best wishes
Philippe

[obi-terms:#654] http://sourceforge.net/p/obi/obi-terms/654/ new term 'metabolic inactivation'

Hi! I would need to describe the process of 'metabolic inactivation'. In particular I seek some term for the 'metabolic inactivation' by 'shock-freezing in liquid nitrogen' as it is common practise in plant metabolics experiments. May be as subterm of 'material processing' (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_0000094)
thanks, Jan
