We want to distinguish our terms using technical differences, not just marketing differences. We should update some of our exiting terms:
We decided that the number of flow cells and the daily throughput would be minimally sufficient to distinguish these machines. I found this information in the manufacturer's data sheets:

With one flow cell: 1000, 3000 With two flow cells: 2000, 2500, 4000
I will take responsibility for updating the definitions for existing terms and the two new HiSeq term requests. Sagar will add this information for his other term requests, where appropriate.
