David, I'm ready to add this to OBI but can you provide a definition source? Thanks for submitting this. Chris

to follow up, can we use PMID: 26021296, Allum et al., Nature Commun. 2015?

Hi Chris, yes, this is the right paper to use.
Thank you in advance,
David

[obi-terms:#773] http://sourceforge.net/p/obi/obi-terms/773/ Adding a term for MCC-Seq
Status: open Group: general Created: Tue Jul 07, 2015 05:20 PM UTC by David Bujold Last Updated: Sat Jan 23, 2016 09:07 PM UTC Owner: Chris Stoeckert
Hello, I'd like to request a new ontology term for the MCC-Seq assay, with the following information:
Preferred label: "MethylC-Capture Sequencing" Alternative labels: "MCC-Seq", "Capture Methylome" Definition: "A next-generation sequencing approach in which a whole-genome sequencing library is prepared, bisulfite converted and amplified, followed by a capture enriching for targeted bisulfite-converted DNA fragments that are are subsequently identified by DNA sequencing". Example: MethylC-Capture Sequencing approach was introduced as a cost-effective and customizable alternative method for large-scale interrogation of functionally-active methylomes while simultaneously providing genetic variation information in a proof-of-concept epigenome-wide association study of 72 obese individuals, identifying novel disease-associated variants.
Thanks in advance!
David
