Support watchOS and tvOS #7

According to the README this project only supports iOS and macOS. It would be awesome to see this expanded to other platforms, mainly tvOS and watchOS. For me personally lower priority, but I'm sure others would also like to see Linux support as well.

Thank you for your suggestion! I've put your requests for new platforms on our list, we'll see if we can fit them in our schedule. Which platforms would be most important for you personally to have? Or to have first?

fishcharlie commented 5 years ago

@uli-objectbox Awesome! For my personally the priority is the following (top being most important, bottom being least important)

uli-objectbox commented 5 years ago

Thank you! That'll help us prioritize.

I'll leave this issue open so others can pipe in with their priority list of Swift platforms they'd like to see supported.

Hi, for what it's worth, I'm interested in running Swift + Objectbox on Linux. Just registering my 2 cents here.

gunterhager commented 5 years ago

I'm currently investigating ObjectBox as a replacement for CoreData. But to make that change watchOS support is a must.

matteocrippa commented 4 years ago

tvOS first for me too

fishcharlie commented 4 years ago

@uli-objectbox Any updates or progress on this?

marwanf1 commented 4 years ago

Any updates on this? Only reason I am not migrating yet to objectbox is because there is no support for tvOS and watchOS.

Linux support is unlikely, because we have other language bindings for that: https://objectbox.io/offline-first-mobile-database/

For anyone interested in watchOS and tvOS support, please thumbs up the first post. This helps us track interest!
