Dear CL and Uberon editors, No rush, but it'd be great if someone other than me could address this issue please, along with the related Uberon one. (This ticket was assigned to Nicole via the automated template; I'll leave it like that for now, but please feel free to contribute!) Note that UBERON:0001850 'lacrimal drainage system' is applicable (restricted) to Tetrapoda, so the related anatomical terms should accommodate some non-mammalian vertebrates too. Thanks.

Dear CL + Uberon editors, Commenting to prevent staleness; this issue, and the related Uberon ticket, are still unresolved as far as I know. Thank you. Paola
I'll work on this @paola-scibite!
Revision: this is not as straightforward as I thought. I won't be able to work on this in a timely manner. @paola-scibite if you have the bandwidth, could you add the specific action items needed for this ticket and the Uberon ticket, and I'd be happy to implement them. Thanks!
@nicolevasilevsky thanks for looking into this. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the topic is limited, and at present I don't have the bandwidth to explore this issue further. Could we please ask @RDruzinsky if he has any suggestions to address the questions in the first and second comment in this ticket? Many thanks in advance.
Best, Paola

CL term CL:1000433 and CL:1000435 epithelial cell of lacrimal canaliculus/duct
Suggested revision and reasons
CL:1000433 epithelial cell of lacrimal canaliculus Equivalent to epithelial cell and part of some lacrimal canaliculus;
CL:1000435 epithelial cell of lacrimal duct Equivalent to non-branched duct epithelial cell and part of some lacrimal drainage system;
UBERON:0001850 lacrimal drainage system has subclass lacrimal canaliculus and an editor note "TODO - resolve lacrimal canaliculus vs larcimal duct".
Improving the structure of the Uberon branch, including clarifying meaning and synonyms of terms, as well as adding definitions to CL 'branched duct epithelial cell' and 'non-branched duct epithelial cell', would address most questions here (is the equivalence axiom of CL:1000435 correct? Should CL:1000433 be equivalent to non-branched duct epithelial cell etc?). I opened https://github.com/obophenotype/uberon/issues/2225 re 'lacrimal drainage system'. Thanks.
