can you add a text def for:

[Term] id: HP:0007132 name: Pallidal degeneration xref: UMLS:C0393577 "Pallidal degeneration" is_a: HP:0007366 ! Atrophy/Degeneration affecting the brainstem

also consider synonyms.

Is this intended to represent any degeneration in the globus pallidus? If so, then is the existing parent class justified?

Currently this phenotype is used once to annotate "pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration", which can affect the brainstem.

Thanks, this was a mistake. I have created a more accurate parent term, subcortical cerebral atrophy, HP:0012157. I think that we will need to do more work on the neurodegeneration section of the HPO.
