One nagging doubt is the conclusion of the paper cited above: Overall, although interesting, the electron microscopy of myocardial tissue added little to the understanding of the patient's disease, with only one case showing changes not found at light microscopy or with other investigations.
In general the HPO does not want to record the methods used to observe a phenotype, unless the observation is ineluctably bound to the method used for measurements (such as EEG). @mellybelly @cmungall -- what types of EM defect were being discussed?
Given the comments in this article, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1731405/ I am closing this issue. We should discuss the entire set of new terms and revisions with the cardiologists and will revisit all of the issues using the google doc.
