has no children. Are these in scope of HPO?

I have been searching around for this but do not see any classification of stages within neonatal that seems to represent a community standard. Does Ben Hutton have any particular suggestion?

Also we had started to align these with the community stage ontologies, here: https://code.google.com/p/developmental-stage-ontologies/wiki/HsapDv It would be great to know if there is another standard we should be looking at for this.

These community staging ontologies are interoperable with GO and UBERON anatomy, so we we would love some help ensuring that the human staging is appropriate so we can make it interoperable for our reasoning applications. This will be very important for addressing temporality of phenotyping across species.

Some of the terms are not compatible with the HPO definitions so far (that are based on consensus in the human genetics community), so we need to think about exactly what to do here. The Carnegie stages are great, but they are not really useful in a clinical setting. Also, there are a lot of stages like this: "6-year-old human stage", that are perfectly fine, but there are extremely few phenotypic features that have such a specific onset. This is a difficult topic! -Peter
