HP:6000418: Rheumatoid nodule :
Definition: A well-demarcated, flesh colored, subcutaneous and usually freely movable lump or mass. Rheumatoid nodules can vary in size from small, pea sized lesions up to the size of a lemon and are most often round. The nodules usually are doughy or firm however and not tender. Typically rheumatoid nodules are distributed over areas of repeated trauma or pressure and occur adjacent to joints on extensor surfaces, such as the elbow, fingers and forearms.
