Another somewhat complicated issue (see attached notes), but I think that there is a reasonable approach.
The plan is to add two new terms: dorsal striatum and ventral striatum, both as part-of striatum.
Caudate-putamen will be part-of dorsal striatum; accumbens nucleus and lentiform nucleus will be part-of ventral striatum.
I will ocnsider adding "olfactory tubercle" and/or "islands of Calleja" as a (part-of) child of ventral striatum.

I'm putting this in as a synonym request although it might be better categorized as a new term request. Not being an anatomist, I'm not sure. I am curating anatomy terms for GEO records and have come across samples that list the source as either dorsal striatum or ventral striatum. These would obviously be parts of striatum. But whether they would be synonyms to existing child terms of striatum, or fall between striatum and its existing children (or not be considered valid terms at all), I'm not sure.
