alveolar wall/septum #53

I think that alveolar wall [MA:0002568] and interalveolar septum [MA:0000421] are the same thing? They seem to be used interchangeably in the literature, and FMA has interalveolar septum as a synonym of alveolar wall. But I'm not sure.

This is a tricky one. I don't think that they are synonymous; there certainly would parts of the alveolar wall (i.e. at the outer aspects of the lung) that would not be considered an alveolar septum. Perhaps the confusion comes whether "alveolar wall" corresponds to what the FMA calls the "Wall of pulmonary alveolus" (FMAID:62795) which also includes, e.g., connective tissue between individual alveoli, or the "wall of the alveolar sac" (FMAID:14117). Comments welcome.

Will move "interalveolar septum" to part_of child of "alveolar wall" (see attached notes)

Proposed definition: Portion of alveolar wall intervening between adjacent alveoli.
