Should dorsal aorta MA:0000476 and its children be in the MA? I thought this was an embryonic structure that later develops into the descending aorta.

You are, of course, right about this, although it is not clear to me when this event occurs. The Edinburgh developmental mouse ontology has the "dorsal aorta" at TS 26, i.e. just prior to birth. I expect that "dorsal aorta", and certainly its children, should be obsoleted.
