Thanks for the detailed clear write up!
Can I clarify what you mean by this:
Substitute 'placental labyrinth blood vessel' for placental arteries and add new terms
I don't think anything needs substituting; the current structure is:
the labyrinth term inherits a taxon constraint that says this is not in human, so the human-view file for uberon should exclude this.
however, our hierarchy is definitely too shallow here and we can add the terms you requested
I will get to the other items later...
Thank you for your feedback, @cmungall!

In this ticket I have broken down the requests from experts to reflect the human placenta in uberon (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1HXW6nB2qzovSL6HXcvlBkiVeezvp01vn/edit#slide=id.p9). However, what we need to do now is refine the different actions in order to harmonise the current version with a more human representation of placenta.
Yes, I agree that in this case there is no need of substituting the placental labyrinth blood vessel, I will modify the action to reflect it.

The current representation of placenta in Uberon, does not reflect the human anatomy. The following edits have been proposed/requested to make the placenta Human aligned. The major points are:
[ ] Placental arteries: Add new vascular terms under
placental artery UBERON:8480007
andplacental vein UBERON:8480008
placenta blood vessel
, instead ofplacental artery
.[ ] Placental membrane: The term “placental membrane” in Uberon is not used in the way it is typically used in clinical pathology and obstetrics.
[ ] Amnion and chorion: “Amnion” and “Chorion” are not related to the “fetal membrane” or “placental membrane”
[ ] Chorionic plate: We propose to move “chorionic plate” to be directly a “part-of” the placenta, and organize chorionic villus under it. The terms primary, secondary, and tertiary villus are used in a developmental sense. For the established placenta, would be better to use the terms primary, secondary, and tertiary stem villus.
@emquardokus, do you think that addressing these four points would create a more human representation of the placenta?
