Hi Chris,

could this term be also is_a: CL:0000101 ! sensory neuron

or

part_of: UBERON:0001027 ! sensory nerve

And again, restriction of 'mesoderm-derived structure' to Mouse sounds improper

[Term] id: UBERON:0004019 name: baroreceptor namespace: uberon def: "the sensory nerve endings in the wall of the atria of the heart, vena cava, aortic arch and carotid sinus that are sensitive to changes in blood pressure" [MP:0004118] xref: FMA:85601 xref: MA:0003009 is_a: UBERON:0000477 ! anatomical cluster is_a: UBERON:0004120 {gci_filler="NCBITaxon:10090", gci_relation="part_of"} ! mesoderm-derived structure relationship: capable_of GO:0003073 ! regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure relationship: only_in_taxon NCBITaxon:7742 ! Vertebrata relationship: part_of UBERON:0001981 {gci_filler="NCBITaxon:10090", gci_relation="part_of"} ! blood vessel

Thank you

Anne

good if I place here?

     is_a UBERON:0000477 ! anatomical cluster
      is_a UBERON:0012453 ! nerve ending [part_of: "peripheral nervous system"] [part_of: "sensory nerve"]
       is_a UBERON:0012451 ! sensory receptor ***

The relationship to cell is part_of I think?

There is no relationship to mesoderm in uber. However, composite-metazoa brings in MA which states this is part of a blood vessel, hence 'mesoderm derived structure'

I think MA is correct these are found in blood vessels. But maybe the relationship should be weaker, like located_in (develops_from propagates over part_of, but not located_in). For your perspective what makes most sense? E.g. if someone queries Bgee for blood vessel genes, should they get baroreceptor genes?

Aside: on the one hand I don't like the inferred germ layer groupings - see #449 - on the other they are useful for bringing issues like this to the fore

Made this located_in blood vessel to be partially aligned with MA
