This is a placeholder ticket that needs to be fleshed out carefully.
The current idea is to revisit the idea of using MPATH to creating a hierarchy of pathological processes and entities such as seizure (see here a debate on whether MPATH is suitable taxon scope wise).
[ ] Include approaching Paul about opening MPath up to more community curation ticket (once we know what we want).
But seizures occur in many species and the underlying molecular mechanisms may be preserved e.g. see shaker mutant in flies (although DPO doesn't record this!)
How can we record across species?
Discussion
MP, HP, Fly all have phenotypes for this, ZFIN has seizure models but no way to record this
ZFIN typically records the behavioral change for seizure models
@dosumis: Should this be in UPheno? How would we maintain this
Complexity of the phenotype makes it hard to model with an EQ
Probably needs to be taken up in a longer meeting in the context of pathological entities and behaviors
Currently, we are pushing everything into PATO (lesioned, neoplastic, etc)
[ ] Homework - review MPath to see if this will work

We have permanently removed NBO seizures from HPO obophenotype/human-phenotype-ontology#7256, see also issue
