Netgate firewall's use a nano bsd implementation, which generally has a very small disk. pfsense could greatly behnifit from this solution.
After minimal testing, I was able to get a working poc by adding ufs as a valid filesystem, and then adding freebsd to the compiler options for disk-usage_unix.go
