(a) I can extend the window's lower edge and a white space to appear at the the top. Moving the mouse cursor around in the white part, leaves a trail of tiny blue dots.
(b) Zooming in and back out, the zoom box indicator in the top left leaves a trail of blue lines, and the edge of the images leaves a trail of white horizontal lines, and the top part of the image that should now be white still contains remnants of the zoomed in image. Also, mouse trails will appear in the the top part of them image that should now be white.
All in all, quite a mess. See end result in screenshot:
