There is no Task ID field in 'Create or Edit Task' modal.

• When creating or editing a task from modal dialog there is no place to add or view the id for the task being edited.

That's right. There is a much more sophisticated mechanism:

And if you don't want to use that, you can use:

• https://publish.obsidian.md/tasks/Editing/Auto-Suggest

So why would you need to specifically edit the ID in the modal?

Editing the IDs is quite risky and potentially complex, as it can require updating lots of other dependent tasks.

So, so far, I've taken the view that it's best not to edit them.
