You must provide a backtrace for us to be able to help with any crashes, but also since your device is no longer supported by nvidia its unlikely there is anything we can do for you. We may reopen this if you can provide a backtrace for your crash.
I do not think it has anything to with the old Nvidia card. It works well on OBS through GStreamer. Either way OBS should not crash. I suspect the crash has something to do with the screen sharing selection window on X11.
Here's the (previous) backtrace (when OBS crashed):

This is a log file and not a backtrace. It also shows that you closed obs successfully and there was no crash.
You should use the Discord server or the forums. For help on how to use OBS.
It would crash and go right back the the bash prompt. I couldn't even run bt
inside (gdb)

In this case it is not a crash but the program being terminated. The problem here lies outside of obs, most typically in flatpak. Users of flatpak modifications like flatseal often cause this themselves, otherwise try running flatpak update. There isnt much we can do if another process on your machine terminates obs.

fwiw this works fine on my machine. And GDB is being killed before OBS too, so you have problems with both.
Ah yes, it was indeed flatseal configuration. I reset it, now it works fine. Thank you.
