It'd be reasonable to point off to the ocaml/ocaml docs for more details about which versions are supported on which platforms. In particular the supported Windows versions above 4.13 is more nuanced.

In some sense it's contained in https://github.com/ocaml/ocaml?tab=readme-ov-file but I agree it's not that clear.

Yeah, I don't think there's any mention of version pitfalls, and it would be a good idea to put the documentation here.
