Different datasets and variables will require different filtering schemes, so let's create a bank of example notebooks for the various filtering options in GCM-filters that we might use for this project.

[x] POP scalar, fixed length-scale filtering
[ ] POP vector, fixed length-scale filtering
[ ] CM2.6 scalar filtering attempt

Closing for now, since we are not using gcm-filters right now anyway.
