First draft of slides for UFS-CAT tutorial -- by Friday EOD #44

FORMAT/CONTENT FOR MARCH 1 (SESSION 1)

  1. Comprehensive background on ufs-coastal
  2. Walk-through the coupling system workflow
  3. Describe model and data components that are supported
  4. How to run a particular application
    • Include introduction to the three reg tests: DATM+SCHISM, DATM+WW3, DATM+SCHISM+WW3 using HWRF winds for Sandy.
  5. Some intro to the configuration of a particular application -- currently done manually, but we can provide some information on how to modify for a new configuration.
  6. Supply basic instructions (as a set of screenshots) for running the reg tests on Orion -- with the caveat that the steps may be slightly different on Frontera.
    • we probably won't have time in the 1.5 hours to review this, but can try to provide, if everything is in place to do so before March
    • UFS-Coastal team will consider if this can be done via a pre-recorded demo
