Data Bounty Platform using Ocean Protocol

Introduction

Data bounty platforms are apps where data consumers can request data they need and set the price they are wiling to pay for it. Goal of this bounty is for some awesome developer like yourself to build this platform using Ocean Protocol , suggest and implement appropriate dispute resolution mechanism and operate and grow this platform.

Bounty timeline

This bounty is divided into 3 phases. Phase 3 ending into a possible entry into Ocean Protocol's Shipyard program (to grow this platform into a thriving business)

Period for phases is as follow - Phase 1 - 2 weeks Phase 2 - 1 week Phase 3 - 3 weeks

Important - All activities that has to happen in particular phase should be done in that phase. Once phase's deadline is reached, there is no carry over. In extreme cases, you can reach out to us to extend deadline for a given phase.

Reward

Total Reward - 40,000 OCEAN

Reward will be distributed in stages with possibly different party reward claim in each stage. These stages are -

1. (Phase 1) Build Data Bounty Platform (REWARD - 14,000 OCEAN) Best implementation of Data Bounty Platform using Ocean Protocol. This blog presents a very simple implementation but ideally you would want other features like search, filter, user reputation, ratings etc to be implemented as well (these features can be done without using Ocean Protocol as well)

2. (Phase 1) Dispute Resolution Mechanism : Proposal and Detailed Specs (REWARD - 5500 OCEAN) Propose best dispute resolution mechanism for this platform (with or without using Ocean Protocol) with clear and detailed tech specs

3. (Phase 2) Dispute Resolution Mechanism : Implementation (REWARD - 8500 OCEAN) Implementation of selected proposal for dispute resolution from Phase 1 into the winning bounty platform from Phase 1

4. (Phase 3) Maintain and Grow (REWARD - 12,000 OCEAN) Keep maintaining this platform (adding new needed features?) and growing the users and bounties on the platform. This phase will help us understand and monitor your entrepreneurship skillset and will decide if you advance to the next stage (our Ocean apps support program - Shipyard)

Once you successfully come out of this last stage and show potential for growth of your platform, we might offer you a chance to join our Ocean apps support program, where we will incentivise and mentor you to help grow this platform into a startup with marketing, mentorship and investments

I will try to create a basic data bounty platform and connect it with my platform customers account so they can provide their data anonymously and earn cash from it. 2) santteegt has started work.

Build a data bounty platform that can integrate with multiple data marketplaces 3) dcd018 has started work.

Create and integrate a bazaar of data marketplace, data bounty platform and dispute resolution mechanism with Ocean Protocol. 4) zoek1 has started work.

Portal to publish and earn with data bounties 5) nazariyv has started work.

To follow GitCoin's naming convention as the leader in the crypto OSS bounty space, we name our project: "BitCoin" - heard that somewhere before; but in leet speak & hex (almost). So that we create a USP in our name, and people will tell us that n isn't a valid hexadecimal :)

We are a team of 2, Dima and myself. Dima is a very experienced front-end developer.

We will start by carefully learning all the docs linked in the task. Asking around to see what mechanisms Gitcoin employs to resolve the disputes. Once we soak up all the knowledge we need, we will have a call and make a plan of execution.
