I see this note in the readme, so just adding one option.

fix look of the converted PDF/Docx/HTML

In bookdown, there is a nice header that has links to all sorts of relevant materials (gh repo, adjusting font size, searching, .pdf and .epub versions of the content), see below.

Curious if this is available in the theme you're using here.

There is a plugin for PDF but it uses the browser conversion to make a PDF from the HTML, not idea. We are creating a PDF from the markdown via pandoc, much better. We could "code ourselves" a download button that would serve this file. I'll check how complicate that is.
