Installation problem on new OS (windows and Mac) #166

Hi,

I can install ocelot on my old windows system, but cannot on the latest (both windows 10 and 11).

I used anaconda for installation: "conda install -c ocelot-collab ocelot"

Same issue with Mac OS. It can be install on "big-sur" but not on "ventura".

May be some updates for installation are required.

The conda recipe may well be out of date. I would recommend cloning the repository and installing from there. That way you cannot go wrong.

Not too long ago I upgraded the ocelot package on Conda there is now the latest stable version. I'm trying now to install anything with Conda (not even ocelot) and it doesn't work on my Mac. Maybe it is a problem with my conda installation It might take more time to solve this problem or find another solution. For now, I would suggest using Stuart's solution

Hi @st-walker @sergey-tomin , thanks to both of you for checking into the installation problem. I will check the installation method as suggested by @st-walker . However, I would like to request for conda based installation because of its easy and self-consistent installation.
