Proper path to compression libraries? #8

Windows exexcutable crashes on launch, giving an error that cwebp, unrar, and 7zip are all not found. The exes are present in the folder with cbzmanager, is there somewhere else they should go?

try the edit menu, config to set the path where the tools are located.

Not possible I'm afraid, as the program just gives the error then that goes away. The GUI never appears, so options and everything else are not accessible. I took a peek in the .ini file but there's no entry for those paths that I can tell. Is there something I can add?

Try to put all exe and dll in simple folder, like c:\cbzManager and try to run it.

Please give me the following informations :

What version of windows ? What is the path where you try to run the program ? What version of the exe ? Full name of the zip file you downloaded ?

More info needed :

Right click on the exe cbzManager.exe, click properties, and navigate to the details tab. Give me the version number of the exe file.

Windows 11 Home 23H2 build 22631.4391 Tried directories %homepath%\CbzManagerWin and also c:\cbzManager as per your request above Zip file name is cbzManagerWin.zip, from the precompiled links here. Version from Properties is 1.0.1.184 Thanks

I do not know what to tell you, I did the test myself, extract the zipfile in c:\cbzManager and the program runs fine.

I'll keep looking.

Hi,

Maybe you can check in c:\users[youruser]\appdata\local\cbzManager if a config.json is present, then delete it and try again.
