Could do something similar to the lolcat bible and re-create the entirety of the bible using code. For science.

That would be awesome! Or another really nerdy bible translation for developers. Or, a new interpreted language that uses bible speak.

I'd always rather write code then actually write.

Here is the KJV of the bible in JSON and plaintext versions. Could definitely utilize some of that to make a static site generator and allow PRs and whatnot to add 'translations'. I don't have any experience with jekyll or the build process for that, though.

We'd need a biblical standard library, maybe via genesis or something, idk.

Disclaimer: I am not religious and only paid 40% attention in religious education as a child so I am not a definitive expert on some of the intricacies of this topic.

just an idea:
you could host something like an open BibleJS API
with examples and multiple ways to present/export them (iframe, bbcode, ascii, gif, ...)
