7 years ago After a long time I got annoyed with this again an decided to post, only to find out I had already posted about this but it looks like I didn't know how to post pictures, so here is one for reference. As you can see, the edges of the grass look terrible from far away with mipmapping on, but without mipmapping everything else looks terrible. This effect doesn't happen on vanilla short grass, so there must be a way to change how it renders.
I like the mipmap feature in Minecraft, it makes things further away look nice. But it doesn't look good on the short grass, it makes the edges dark an muddy and makes the "X" of grass much more noticeable. I'm not sure how to post pictures, but enable short grass and mipmapping in the vanilla video settings and you should see the problem.
This is just a visual enhancement, but then again, the entire mod is.
