Mouseover Thumbnail Navigation #80

Visual Accessibility of Thumbnail Navigation

Plone 3.2.2 ( Skin NuPlone )
WindowsXP SP3
Firefox 3.0.8

I haven't looked into the problem to much so I am not sure. I did cruise
the code a little to try to change the setting but did not find one(
probably right in front of me..LOL )

I use NuPlone which I have modified a few things on. Mainly color scheme. I
resized the slideshow to 350 x 300. The Problem I noticed is that when the
slideshow is resized smaller, the thumbnail mouse-over scroll from left to
right .. starts to malfunction. You can still scroll back left, but not
right because it seems to left the right side activation area out where it
began.

Not for sure if this was noted but thought I would let you know.

Do you have a link where I could see this happening?

Yes I do, I had o make one, because the other one was actually protected within
a
Private Folder. http://0ofu.zapto.org:8100/Plone/SE should get you there. Let
me know
when you are finished so that I may remove it. ( I haven't confirmed with the
original artist about displaying this work ) I need to take down once its done,
even
though this is a personal website, for my use only.. Thanks.. ;)

Sorry - finally have a chance to look into this and the page has been removed.
Let me
know if it comes up again.

Yeah I took it down after 24 hours.. Like I said I would.. The last thing I
need is
to wind up in a tangle over copyright infringement, over displaying a work that
I do
not have the express permission of the artist to display, even if it still
remains
acredited to them.

I can assure you there is an issue, and would be willing to through another one
together to show you, but I can't leave it up for a month... The width of the
container it was in was about 350px.. Very simple to reproduce by resizing the
slideshow to that size..

If you would like me to do this again, please contact me...I have everything I
need
to do it and would only take a few minutes to redo, including re-installing
slideshow.

Have a good week.

You will be able to reach it at this address.
http://0ofu.zapto.org:8100/Plone/SE
..same as before I will have to upload images to a folder, so we are looking at
a few
minutes until then...and no problem.. I know how it goes..LOL

Hi - Listen, I copied the exact javascript and css on your page into a blank
template
and everything worked fine. The version you are using is from a Plone plugin
called
SlideshowFolder which has been modified from the version found on this site. I
would
suggest contacting the developers behind this plugin for support. The problem is
certainly related to your setup (most probably conflicting javascripts). I wish
I
could help you further but debugging is time consuming process and this goes
beyond
the scope of what I am willing to commit.

LOL.. Figures, I guess if they decide to rip your code they need to quit
referring
support to here..LOL

I completely understand...maybe I will grab yours and use it on some of my other
servers..

I do appreciate your time looking into this...

Have a good week!
