the .99 is for memory, not speed.
Is a 250 000 K of memory octgn process good ?
And will you guys look into the overall performance thing with octgn 3.1 ?
That amount of ram is normal for OCTGN.
that's a reasonable amount... its not much different from most modern-day apps
Okay. So best of courage to solve the slowness thing. It's really ruining it ! :/
Yeah that is next on the list.
So i'm not the only one having this problem right ? People did already report ?
We've seen people mention it, most people don't report anything, they just complain about things with eachother :p
I see ! :p
Well, hope to see octgn work as smooth as 3.0 in the near future. Best of courage again.
Thank you, and thanks for reporting it :)
I also posted about the specific library game freezing problem, but I did it as a MTG specific problem ( https://github.com/brine/mtg-octgn/issues/52 ). In my case the memory usage is more or less the same 250k you say, and every time I open the library window the game totally freezes for like 5 or 6 seconds.
I am encountering slowness, here is what I have seen:
Running Vista Home Premium, AMD 64 x2 core dual 4400+ 2.30 Ghz Microsoft .net 4.5 Framework installed Running one copy of Octgn 3.1.24.108
Memory usage currently @ 475 MB (I have seen it in a previous instance running over 880MB and I had to kill process as it was unresponsive)
Steps to get here: Start Octgn, have 1 game installed Android: Netrunner I played 3 games of netrunner (all new games) quit games in between. Octgn has been sitting idle for a few hours.
Microsoft .net 4.5 Framework installed Microsoft .net 4.5 SDK Framework installed Microsoft .net 4.5 Multi-Targetting Pack installed
Closed OCTGN started up auto downloaded new version 3.1.25.112 Sitting on sign in screen Memory usage at 25MB (52MB on faster machine) Signed in 35MB / 67MB Started a game 101MB / 145MB quit game 97MB / 145 MB Started another game 117 MB / 190MB quit game 113 MB / 196MB start deck manager, load deck up as high as 123 MB then dropped to 87MB / 205MB quit deck manager 85 / 205 MB
That's all expected, looks good! At least muuuch better than before. Thank you for the quick update
might be related to #843. some kind of issue with the window for viewing piles? it does seem to be causing issues for the shuffle at least.
Load a deck slowness gone with d97f49b
Getting massive slowdowns from loading decks, looking at library, closing and shuffling it etc
Hope you guys find a way to fix this.
