Is there any progress with the documentation regarding the themes development?

I've been making lots of changes in Octopress Ink. Yesterday I finished the final puzzle that had been preventing me from doing this. I'm going to be building out the Genesis theme and updating the documentation as I go. Thanks for your patience :)

+1 for Ink docs!

Some basic questions:

Does Ink have any effect on how I would make changes to my theme? (on GitHub or otherwise)
Might Ink enable some form of "child themes" concept as seen in WordPress?
Why would I as a client ask a developer to comply with Ink? And vice versa.
