It's as easy as 123: how to install a 3.0 theme NOTE: A ruby gem for installing the theme must already be created. When 3.0 is fully released with documentation, including theme creation documentation, you can expect more octopress themes to become available. Detailed docs are coming I'm sure. He gave the world early access to 3.0 out of grace. Having no documentation is a small sacrifice. I've been using Octopress for about 1 week, and I know I have built a much more robust jekyll page than many people using plain jekyll or even 2.0.
Little Secret: You can find WIP documentation in the "readme.md" files and in assets folders in the Octopress repositories.
